Decorative Glass
Glasscraft offers a wide variety of decorative products in its range which include real focal point glass panels that combine elegant bevelled glass clusters with coloured films. We have the facility to reproduce traditional stained glass designs, coloured fanlights and bespoke stained glass designs to encapsulate these into high quality sealed units, and also produces standard stained glass and bevel designs that can be incorporated into a standard sealed unit.
Georgian fret, Gothic arch and Georgian arch sealed units in a variety of colours and sizes are also manufactured in house by our highly skilled staff which can be produced to any required frame size.

Toughened Safety Glass
Glasscraft’s toughened safety, or tempered glass, recognised with the BS EN 12150 KM 507031 Kitemark, is single clear pane glass with versatile elements enabling it to be obscure or printed on for example. Toughened safety glass is up to five times stronger than annealed glass and therefore can be used in many more applications than normal annealed glass. Often referred to as safety glass, being toughened ensures that, if broken, it rapidly disintegrates into very small particles, therefore reducing the cause of serious injury from impact.
Specialist glass products such as solar control coated glass are toughened to protect the glass from thermal stress breakage when exposed to solar radiation, and with modern convection technology and rapid toughening cycle times, this allows us to not only process glass from 4mm – 25mm thick, tinted, coated, drilled and shaped in high volumes without compromising quality.

High Quality Insulating Glass Sealed Units

Incorporating annealed, toughened and laminated dual sealed elements, Glasscraft's insulating units, that are recognised with the BS EN 1279 KM 76546 Kitemark, offer greatly improved insulation compared to traditional single pane openings.
Sealed units manufactured by Glasscraft use a low-emissivity coated glass which is thermally efficient, resulting in significantly reduced environmentally friendly heating costs to the end user. The insulating glass sealed unit also reduces condensation to the inner pane and has superior acoustic properties than single pane glazing.

Glass Processing

Combining innovative machinery and equipment with an experienced and highly skilled team allows Glasscraft to process glass ranging from thicknesses of 4mm to 25mm and implement a variety of features and techniques. These include polished, ground bevelled edges and drilled holes for example which can also be processed in various shapes and sizes, tailored to individual specifications for mirrors, furniture, balustrading and glass screens for example.

Warm Edge Sealed Units

New to the Glasscraft performance range is warm edge technology sealed units. Incorporating a warm edge non metallic spacer bar, its thermally improved edge seal improves the insulation of the window by reducing the thermal bridge of the sealed unit. Due to the high mechanical and thermal resistance, Glasscraft warm edge sealed units are also suitable for use in roof glazing and commercial applications, and depending on the insulation level can reduce energy costs by up to 5%. Also, with higher glass edge temperatures, condensation and mould is noticeably reduced compared to standard sealed units.
Glasscraft warm edge sealed units incorporate high performance low-emissivity glass and Argon Gas, which provides a technically advanced sealed unit that when installed into a multi chamber PVC window will achieve a BFRC Window Energy C Rating as standard.

Self Cleaning Glass

Self cleaning glass is a revolutionary product that combines the mechanical, thermal and acoustic properties found in normal glass, with a transparent coating that reacts with the natural elements and breaks down the dirt and grime, which, when exposed to water or rain cleans the surface. This product can be used with other glass types, for example solar control and low emissivity glass making it ideal for conservatory roofs and harder to reach places.

Solar Control Glass

Solar control glass is annealed or toughened glass that has had a coating applied to provide a high solar performance. The key to a good solar control glass is fitting the right product for the application, and reaching the right balance of solar control, thermal insulation and light transmittance.
Glasscraft offers a variety of products to suit most building applications, ranging from a natural clear appearance with excellent light transmission, to thermal insulation and good solar reflection, which is ideal for conservatory side panels.
With a high performance blue tinted solar reflective glass that can filter out up to 70% of the solar energy, however not transmitting as much natural light through, makes it ideal for roof glass that is prone to direct sunlight.
Also available to be supplied as a self cleaning glass, our range of Solar Control Glass incorporates a low-emissivity coating which not only gives the sealed unit excellent thermal properties, but also helps retain heat inside.

Acoustic Control Glass

Acoustic Control Glass sealed units are produced to reduce noise from the outside world and come in two varieties. The first incorporates argon filled cavities which is aimed to reduce outside noise such as rain and traffic for example. The second type consisting of two or more sheets of glass that are bonded together by one or more acoustic inter-layers, can be used in both overhead glazing, large picture windows or privacy applications for example to provide a great level of acoustic protection.
